ASICLAND participates in the ‘SEDEX 2022’, Korea Semiconductor Exhibition

ASICLAND announced on 11th Oct that it had participated in ‘SEDEX 2022’ held at Coex, Seoul from 3rd to 5th Oct. The company presented its technology as the only Korean VCA(Value Chain Aggregator) of TSMC, which bridges fabless companies and the global No.1 foundry.

Sapeon’s ‘X220’ which got a lot of attention at the booth has the core NPU designed by Sapeon itself, which is the SK Group’s fabless. ASICLAND is involved in this Korea’s first data center AI semiconductor project in charge of designing CPU, sub-systems, high-speed interfaces, etc.

Also displayed Deeper-I’s ‘TACHY-BS402’ and its demonstration, which is a deep learning NPU for edge devices and can perform in various applications such as object identification, pose detection, image synthesis, and image quality enhancement.

This display included a demo video of ASICLAND’s automation platform ‘AWorld Magic’. This platform offers a comprehensive automated environment from architecture design to FPGA implementation or software development. This platform will benefit customers by shortening their development time and reducing human errors. AI passport recognizer and AI object indicator were also introduced by using AI semiconductors involved by the company.

“Our goal is to mass-produce AI semiconductors for both servers and edge devices shortly soon. And we will expand to the automotive and metaverse field as well as enter the US market at a later date,” says ASICLAND. 

Only ASICLAND is TSMC’s official partner based in South Korea. Many leading Korean companies have relied on it to develop and mass-produce ASIC or SoC. It is working with SAPEON, SK group’s fabless as mentioned previously, on a governmental project ‘Development of Edge AI Accelerator and Solution for Real-time Media Quality Enhancement’.
