ASICLAND wins 'The 8th Suwon Small and Medium Business Grand Award'

In an announcement on the 11th, ASICLAND revealed CEO Jongmin Lee had won the '8th Suwon Small and Medium Business Grand Award.'

A 'Suwon Small and Medium Business Award' honors outstanding small and medium-sized businesses that contribute to the city's competitiveness and regional economic development through advancing technologies, productivity improvements, or export development. The award's categories include △Grand (general) Award △Management Innovation △Technology Development △Export Promotion △Start-up and Venture △Job Creation △Labor-Management Harmony. The Grand Award was given to ASICLAND for its contributions to all categories.

ASICLAND was established in 2016 in Yeongtong-gu, Suwo-si. It has been operating as a system semiconductor design house for about 7 years. It is noteworthy that sales have doubled every year by steadily improving technology. It has contributed to the economic development of the local community by creating about 150 jobs.

Jongmin Lee said, "this award will be a turning point for us to expand beyond Korea and become global companies." ASICLAND is TSMC's exclusive partner (Value Chain Alliance) located in Korea, making TSMC's advanced process accessible to Korean fabless companies. Since it has a stable domestic market, the company is now accelerating its entry into the U.S. market.

In return for the award, ASICLAND will receive various benefits for three years, including recognition as an excellent company in Suwon. Plus, extra points when applying to international fairs sponsored by Suwon-si are also granted.
