ASICLAND Participates in Panel Discussions at 'Arm Tech Symposia 2022'

Jongmin Lee, CEO of ASICLAND, participated in the panel discussion recently held at Arm Tech Symposia 2022.
‘Arm Tech Symposia’ is where the industry shares Arm’s latest technology and insight among partners and related companies.
ASICLAND as an AADP joined this event and presented a success story of an AI Semiconductor based on Arm’s CPU IP and its SoC Development Automation platform ‘AWorld Magic™’.

ASICLAND, in particular, participated in the panel discussion under the leadership of Hwang, President of Arm Korea. The CEO, Lee said "Arm Flexible Access(AFA) Program allows us to access many different kinds of Arm IP before making license agreements", and "AADP's using and verifying Arm's solutions in advance can provide customers with helpful and professional guidance". He added, “Design partners set up platforms for customers' most requested solutions, which leads to a shorter development cycle."

Arm's AFA program allows fabless companies or startups to develop and verify their SoC using Arm's portfolio and solutions without upfront licensing costs.

Besides, Lee recommended strengthening the program with high-end CPU IP aligned with the Korean market needs that have recently emerged.

Panelists discussed how Korean companies ensure competitiveness and how each AADP approaches global markets. Once the company goes on its public in 2023, Lee said ASICLAND plans to branch out into the global market in earnest. He said the company is already receiving calls from the United States and China. In order to achieve strong promotion and business development overseas, ASICLAND would take full advantage of events such as Arm Tech Symposia.
For more information, ASICLAND was founded in 2016 as a design house. It was approved as an AADP in 2018. The company is extending its portfolio of 'Level-0' projects to include its Edge AI semiconductor projects using Arm IP. It has been acting as a bridge between Korean fabless and TSMC, as a Value Chain Alliance since 2019.
