ASICLAND(CEO Jong-min Lee) announced on August 12 that it has signed a license agreement of SiliconArts(CEO Hyung-min Yoon)' GPGPU(General Purpose GPU) IP "RAIV" to apply it to its AI semiconductor platform.

ASICLAND is the sole TSMC VCA (Value Chain Aggregator) company in Korea among 8 VCAs across the world. Through this agreement, RAIV can be used as a main IP in designs of AI, Meta-verse semiconductors, and so on.

For the rapid development of AI semiconductors, the company has been developing an AI semiconductor platform which will enable internal design flow automation. Through this cooperation, it plans to expand the platform’s coverage to wider products such as Meta-verse, Augmented Reality (AR), Self-driving, and Internet of Things (IoT).

Jong-min Lee, CEO of ASICLAND said, "We will provide a total ASIC solution with which our customers can get the most out of their core technology," adding, "In this journey, we will do our best to improve our development capabilities and customer satisfaction."

The company specializes in ASIC services. Engineers familiar with various fields such as SoC, front-end, design for test, back-end, package, and test communicate with customers to satisfy their needs as much as possible and manufacture their own chips. It has about 120 R&D and mass production engineers, with subsidiaries included. It develops and mass-produces memory controllers, 5G communications, and AI semiconductors. It is also investing in R&D and technology transfer for the next-generation products.
